THE SHACK
a cozy cocoon by the water for a rejuvenating stay, alone in the world

Decorated in natural tones, this unusual accommodation just a stone's throw from the Bay of Somme invites you to rest and commune with nature. It recalls the nuances of colors of the exterior during the changes of season and colors of the flora.

Facing south, a few centimeters from the edge of the water, you let your feet out of the duvet after almost feeling that the reeds tickle them. Of course, you must not make noise here, wild animals at home. Frogs, migratory birds, bats, muskrats… and recently, a not very shy fox who comes to sunbathe on the opposite bank! You will quickly abandon your smartphones and other connected objects to get caught up in the game of observing the biodiversity of Marquenterre.

La Cabane is perfect for your romantic stays for two. Unusual but with all the comforts, it combines the proximity of nature with the essential amenities to spend a stay in the Bay of Somme in complete peace of mind: plunger coffee maker, kettle, mini-fridge, organic coffee and tea.

During your stay, you can enjoy a small maritime pine bark terrace, very close to the water. A small barbecue (charcoal not provided) and at your disposal for your wild meals.

I also provide you with a pair of binoculars, essential for observing the birds of Marquenterre. I also lend you two bikes. The bike path passes a few meters away, in a few pedal strokes you will safely reach Le Crotoy or Quend-Plage (35 minutes away) and, for the more athletic, Saint-Valery-sur-Somme at 1 hour. Saint-Quentin-en-Tourmont is at the crossroads of many marked trails.

La Cabane is therefore the perfect starting point for exploring the Picardy coast. It is 200m from the access path to the sea!

The design of the Cabin and its optimal insulation allows it to be open all year round. You will be able to discover the Bay of Somme in any season.

La Cabane is on the same private property as the Villa . However, it remains totally independent.

One-night stays are possible from Sunday evening to Thursday evening, by booking by telephone only.

On weekends and during school holidays, stays must be a minimum of two nights.
